About Me
Teia Cobb,MS, LCMHC, LCAS
I am a licensed mental health counselor and a licensed clinical addictions specialist, and for the past 16 years I’ve provided psychotherapy to help people overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, substance use, co-dependency and relationship issues.
If you’re here, you’re probably searching for someone that can help you work through the emotional aftermath of a difficult and traumatic experience such as trauma from abuse, or a toxic relationship that may be causing a lot of pain in your life. You may be seeking to increase your self-esteem and self-confidence, or would like to learn to say no to others, set boundaries and put yourself first. You could be struggling with depression or anxiety, have a difficult time controlling your anger, or maybe your use of substances is causing major problems in your life. Or maybe it’s something else entirely.
The experiences you’ve had that have brought you here have motivated you to seek out someone who can help guide you through the process of change, growth and healing transformation.
I take a holistic approach to therapy by addressing the process of healing from a mind, body, and spirit perspective. I integrate traditional talk psychotherapy with complementary alternative healing methods such as meditation, aromatherapy, energy work and spirituality to assist you with making the necessary changes that will allow you to begin experiencing a life of peace, happiness, purpose and fulfillment.
I believe that developing a secure and supportive therapeutic relationship is the first step towards helping you understand your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. I individualize counseling interventions and the pace of our sessions to meet to your particular needs, goals, and personality style. Through actively exploring and identifying the core issues that are causing emotional pain, we will work together so that you can achieve relief from painful emotions and the change you desire. mental
